This is an album of the group PONTEIO, and NOT of the artist Andrej Pirjevec alone. It is a Debut Album where every member of the group contributed with his ideas, songs and arrangements to compile a CD of 10 original compositions, with very different backgrounds but with a common red line - the love for Brazilian music and culture.

PONTEIO is a quartet that flows in the poly-rhythmic and colourful world of Brazilian music where four musicians from different cultural, historic and social backgrounds revisit with a personal touch some of the standards, and that way, rewrite some classic pages of the immense Brazilian tradition.
The repertoire goes from the jazzistic bossa nova language to traditional choro, touching the rhythms and styles of Northeast of Brasil. However the musicians wanted to give the project a unique sound also by incorporating their own compositions written particularly for this band.
